Fort Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing

Trolling trips are a great way to cover water and target a wide variety of sportfish in our waters—you never know what’s going to bite! We typically run two planers to get baits down 60–80 feet, along with four surface lines using a mix of artificial lures and bait.

It’s common on trolling trips to switch things up for a bit, like transitioning to kite fishing or bottom fishing, depending on the conditions. Trolling gives us the ability to cover a lot of ground and scout the ocean throughout the day. We aim to be ready for anything and adapt to whatever the day brings.

Target Species

We offer trolling charters year-round, with the opportunity to catch a wide variety of species. Some of the most common catches and their peak seasons include:

  • Kingfish: Best from June through October

  • Wahoo: Best from August through December

  • Sailfish: Best from August through March

  • Mahi Mahi: Typically best during windy conditions, especially with an east wind in the fall and early winter

Where We Fish

We cover a lot of water on our trolling trips—it’s a great way to survey the ocean and locate the most productive areas each day. We typically stay within 2 miles of shore, trolling around the extensive network of artificial reefs and wrecks. It’s not uncommon to cover 10 to 20 miles of water over the course of a single trip.
