Florida Daytime Swordfish Fishing

Swordfish charters are perfect for hardcore sport fishermen looking for an unforgettable day on the water—and plenty of meat to take home! Swordfish are the only billfish we harvest, and a great day on these trips means catching a swordfish that provides a bounty of incredible meat—you get to keep all of it.

Swordfish are often mistaken for Sailfish locally, but they couldn’t be more different. The average size is typically between 60 and 80 pounds, though they can reach up to 500 pounds. The bite is very subtle, but it can quickly escalate into a long and grueling battle. Giant swordfish can take hours to bring alongside the boat, making it the ultimate challenge for your group.

Target Species

These trips exclusively target swordfish, with bycatch being very rare. We offer swordfish charters year-round, but the action is typically best during the fall and winter months of October, November, February, March, and April.

Where We Fish

These full-day charters involve a long run out to the continental shelf, about 18 miles offshore. Once we reach the fishing grounds, we’ll drop two rods to the bottom (you can choose between an old-school hand crank or a modern electric reel) and drift along the ridges, waiting for that exciting bite.
