Florida Shark Fishing
Shark fishing in South Florida will test your strength to the limit. We experience great success year-round, with all of our shark fishing being catch and release. These trips take place around the artificial reefs and wrecks scattered along the coast.
We use heavy tackle to ensure we’re prepared for sharks of all sizes. The sharks we catch typically range from 4 to 12 feet, with the average being a large 7 to 8 feet long. This is a battle that will truly challenge your strength!
Target Species
Our shark fishing is consistently excellent year-round, with common catches including reef sharks such as Sandbar, Bull, Nurse, Tiger, Hammerhead, Lemon, and Mako. On occasion, we even encounter Great Whites. Goliath Grouper are also a common bycatch while shark fishing.
Be sure to ask about our spring Hammerhead migration, where we target these giants as they migrate along the surface. It’s an exciting and visually captivating style of fishing!
Where We Fish
We typically fish within ¾ to 2 miles of shore, targeting depths of 80 to 300 feet around artificial reefs, wrecks, or any area holding abundant bait and activity.
We drop live or dead bait rigs to the bottom using extremely heavy setups, waiting for the thump and the ensuing battle.
