Want to Mount Your Trophy Catch? Here’s How It Works!
Nothing beats the thrill of landing a once-in-a-lifetime fish — whether it’s a massive grouper, a sleek sailfish, or a toothy shark. If you’re one of the lucky anglers who reels in a true trophy, we’re here to help you turn that moment into a lifelong memory.
On our charters, we offer the option to have your trophy catch professionally mounted and shipped right to your front door.
Replica Mounts – The Modern Way to Preserve Your Catch
Today’s taxidermy mounts are 100% replicas — meaning we don’t use the actual fish. Instead, a fiberglass mold is created based on the size and species of your catch, and it’s finished with high-quality polyurethane-based paint that captures every detail. These mounts look stunning, are incredibly durable, and are suitable for display indoors or outdoors.
How Much Does a Mount Cost?
Mount pricing depends entirely on the species and size of the fish. As a general guideline:
-
Grouper mounts typically start around $800 USD
-
Larger fish like sailfish or big sharks can cost $1800.00 USD or more
Whether your trophy is a heavy bottom dweller or a fast-moving pelagic, we’ll make sure the mount reflects the exact size and shape of your catch.
It’s Your Trophy, Your Choice
Keep in mind — mounting is always based on the customer’s preference, not the captain’s. Your idea of a trophy may differ from ours, and that’s okay! If it’s a personal best or a milestone catch, it’s worth preserving however you see fit.
The Mounting Process: Simple and Flexible
Here’s how it works:
-
Let us know you want to mount a fish before we clean or release it.
-
Pay a 50% deposit based on the full mount price.
-
Pay the remaining balance over time — flexible payment options are available.
-
The entire process takes around 3 months from start to finish.
-
Your finished mount will be crated and shipped directly to your home, ready to hang and show off.
