🔥 Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report – Epic Mahi Mahi Action Offshore!

We had an absolutely incredible day offshore in about 900 feet of water, where we located multiple large schools of Mahi Mahi, also known as Dolphinfish. These beautiful pelagic fish were fired up and hungry, providing nonstop action for our charter guests.

The Mahi Mahi bite was red-hot, with fish ranging in size from schoolies to some solid gaffers up to 20 pounds. We found several weed lines and floating debris that were holding big numbers of Mahi, and the action was fast-paced with doubles and triples coming over the rail. These fish were aggressive, putting up hard fights and making for some high-energy, adrenaline-pumping offshore fishing.
Our crew used a combination of trolling ballyhoo rigs and casting live bait to get hooked up, and both methods were equally effective. Bright-colored skirts and surface poppers drew explosive strikes that had everyone on board pumped. We even had the chance to sight-cast to some of the larger fish as they followed hooked Mahi right up to the boat!
