Spring Fishing Action Heats Up Aboard Hooked Up II!
Springtime deep sea fishing is in full swing here in South Florida, and today aboard the Hooked Up II, we had one mission: to target jumbo blackfin tuna—and we nailed it!
We set out of Fort Lauderdale and ran a productive kite fishing spread, using fresh live baits including goggle eyes and threadfin herring. Kite fishing this time of year is one of the most exciting techniques because you never know what will strike next, and today was a perfect example of that.
While blackfin tuna were our primary target, the action didn’t stop there. We also landed a few beautiful king mackereland three solid mahi-mahi (dolphin fish) that gave us an incredible fight and some great photo ops.
