I’ve dedicated my life to sportfishing and bring that passion and knowledge to every trip. I custom-build most of the gear we use—from rods to rigs—and take pride in providing a top-notch, hands-on fishing experience for every guest.
Meet Your Captain
Capt. Lou Perez
My name is Captain Lou Perez. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale as a second-generation charter fisherman and have fished our local waters for over three decades. I’ve been around charter fishing my whole life—coming out on the boat at 3 years old and working as a crew mate by 13. I knew very early on that I wanted to dedicate my life to sportfishing and pursued it with passion. By the time I was 16, I was traveling as a mate on private vessels in the Bahamas to further expand my knowledge. I went to college locally in Palm Beach and worked at the world-famous Fisherman’s Center, building custom rods for tournament fishermen around the world.
By 20, I had moved to Hawaii, fishing aboard tournament boats for a year and a half before returning to Fort Lauderdale at 22 to begin my chartering career alongside my father and his longstanding charter business. My life revolves around the sport of fishing, and I hold a high standard for every trip. I build almost all of the equipment we fish with—I do all of my own fiberglass work on the boat, custom-build the rods we use, and create my own terminal tackle to ensure it holds up to any battle we face on the water.
I have a deep passion for charter fishing and look forward to showing you a memorable day on our special fishery.

The Hooked Up II
45’ Hatteras
The Hooked Up II is a customized 45’ Hatteras Convertible that has been optimized over the last 15 years to serve as the ultimate sportfishing vessel for Southeast Florida waters. Powered by twin Cummins diesel engines, she cruises smoothly at 18 knots, making longer runs to productive fishing grounds easy and comfortable.
Built for performance and comfort, the Hooked Up II is fully outfitted with the latest Simrad electronics to keep anglers on the bite. The spacious interior includes full air conditioning, a private bathroom, refrigerator, and a mezzanine-style couch.
Fishing features include two 100-gallon custom baitwells, a 150-gallon custom ice chest, a 150-gallon insulated fish box, and a custom fighting chair. No matter what we're chasing, the Hooked Up II delivers a smooth, safe, and highly capable fishing experience.
The Wicked Cuda
28' Center Console
Our Downeaster 28’ center console was specifically built for fishing in Southeast Florida. The boat is equipped with multiple livewells, an integrated fish box, all electric kite reels, and a full walkaround design, making it perfect for fishing. I also installed custom spray rails and removed all wood from the construction, ensuring it is fully unsinkable for added safety.
To ensure we’re always set up for success on the water, the boat is rigged with the latest electronics, including Simrads, Airmar, and Garmin radar. Powered by a new 300hp Suzuki engine, it’s incredibly fuel-efficient and allows us to quickly move between fishing spots when needed. The boat comfortably accommodates up to six people, making it ideal for a fun and safe day of offshore fishing.
